What Filmera is
Filmera is an AI filmmaking workspace that works like a production rather than a prompt box. The models are your crew and you are the director: every generation is a take, characters and style stay consistent across shots, and real and generated footage cut together on one timeline.
Three rooms, one film:
- Canvas — plan the film. Characters, locations and shots live as connected nodes, and every generation shows its price before you commit.
- Media — every take is kept. Nothing overwrites anything; each clip keeps its model, duration and prompt.
- Edit — a real timeline. Recut without regenerating, and run VFX on the shot you already like instead of rolling the dice again.
Getting started
- Sign in. Email code or Google — no card needed to look around.
- Open a template. Every template in the gallery is open: prompts, characters and takes included. Duplicating one gives you a working project instead of a blank canvas.
- Make a shot. Add a video node on the Canvas, write what you want, and press Generate. The cost is shown on the button before you press it.
- Cut it. Drag takes into the Edit timeline, trim, and export an MP4.
New accounts start on the Free plan. See Plans & billing for what each plan includes.
Where things are explained
- Generating & credits — what a generation costs and when credits come back.
- Model catalogue — every model, what it accepts, what it costs.
- VFX and Audio AI — changing a shot you already have.
- Export & watermark — rendering the final file.
- FAQ & troubleshooting — why something failed, and what to do.
